I just completed my first week of classes for World History. Does it suck or what?? I have two months of it left... oh my goodness! Thank goodness for long weekends though. The first day he assigned a 6 page paper, fortunately it's not due until the last day of school. He will give us bonus points for turning it early though, so I sticking with that deadline.
Tomorrow I go for my first official Special Olympic event to go volunteer. I have been volunteering for 7 years through the school system. I think I just enjoyed it so much because it was rewarding for one thing, but also I spent the whole day outside the classroom. I got to skip all of my classes, and I got to be like a kid again for 6 hours! I have decided to also do this because this will help myself see what I am capable of. A lot of little people don't take no for an answer. My own mentor throughout my high school career has no comment about my major. She was a Special Education teacher for 25 years, and now she is Special Education administrator. I am my own inspiration to be a Special Education teacher since I did have a slight learning disability and obviously my physical "disability" (difference). I want to be able to help my own kind. lol.
Then work has been good. It has been crazy busy, but I love my new hours. Instead of 12:00 to 4:00, I work from 1:00 to 5:00. It's only an hour difference, but it's just cool for some reason. I had my review to... I have been an official employee for 1 year as of tomorrow! I have worked for this company for over 6 years, but I was just a temp., but now I am official! lol.
The end! I will hopefully have pictures for tomorrow, but we will see. I doubt it. I think I will just be overwhelmed for my first event.
